To: SFHG Mailing List on behalf of The Blaker Society member of the Guild of One Name Studies. The Blaker Society wishes to maintain a close relationship between themselves and SFHG as so many of the BLAKERs have been in Sussex. Now that they require a new webmaster for their website (www.blaker.org.uk) they would like someone who is already a member of SFHG. The position would be poorly paid ("it would involve an initial payment for set up and ongoing retainers on a monthly basis"). The Blakers are involved with Heraldry requiring coloured depictions of Arms. In addition they have a Paypal account and want the site set up for E Commerce. If anyone is interested perhaps they would contact me, Judy Excell, and I will forward their email to Rod Blaker and Ken Toll. Rod Blaker says: "It would certainly be a plus is someone connected with SFHG could take the position, because the One Name Study is about Blaker, and Blaker is, except in the rarest of instances, a Sussex name, since 1279 or 1296 if I recall. "We have a Committee of about 12 people, and registered users at the moment of about 30; but I hope to move on the accumulated 100 plus email addresses, and see whether we can keep these people interested and volunteering, based on a blog, and also on a wiki, both of which will need to show on the website."
