Hi Robin I think you were right and someone is using your name. I would contact Find My Past and get them to cancel that account. I decided to sign up for Find My Past web site but, when I tried to register discovered that somebody who I do not believe is me had already registered using my e-mail address which I thought slightly odd/suspicious. I received a password reminder which meant absolutely nothing to me. Do new subsribers to FMP usually choose their own passwords or are they just given a serious of purely random letters and numbers by FMP?. I ask as I am going to have to give credit card details and want to be certain that this safe. Thanks, Robin ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
I consider it to be highly unlikely that anyone else but you would have the temerity to open an account in your' name using your' email address. It is normal for FMP to issue a password of random numbers and letters, and although it is some time since I had an account with them I don't believe that it is possible to change it to something more easily remembered. HTH regards Joe Austen 9934 in OZ the only other possibility is that someone has opened an account in your' name as a christmas present and hasn't told you yet ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, December 20, 2012 4:45 AM Subject: Re: [SFHG] Find My Past passwords. > Hi Robin > > I think you were right and someone is using your name.
