    3. Hi Wendy A search of the Sussex Marriage Index confirms the spelling of the groom's name - Henry Tomson, also that Parnell Faireman was from Rotherfield (not Rotherham), which is the parish next to Frant, and that the marriage (in Frant) was by licence.   The SFHG online data archive brings up many variations of the name Faireman, but on a quick scan I couldn't find Parnell so, with that unusual name, yours is most probably the one you found bapt in West Peckham, Kent, which is a few parishes but not terribly far from the Sussex border area where she married. Good luck with your search. Best wishes for Christmas & New Year Christine Jackson SFHG 397     ________________________________ From: wendy miles <[email protected]> To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, December 25, 2012 12:47:05 AM Subject: [SFHG] FAIREMAN of Sussex or Kent A marriage found on Family search for a Parnel FAIREMAN, (of Rotherham) to Henry TOMSON (Tomsett?) in Frant, Sussex April 1663 had me looking for her bapt.    Again on Familysearch, a possibility came up with the Christening of a Parnell FAIREMAN 24 Feb. 1639 at West Peckham, to parents William FAIREMAN & Elizabeth. (batch) number: C13507-1   sce film no: 992528 Her sister Mary christened same place in Nov.1637   Not knowing the 'where' in West Peckham, does this seem like a feasable pairing of the Parnell (of Rotherham) who married in Frant  & the Parnell christened in April 1639 across in Kent?   I'm also hoping to find that Tomson was written in error for Tomsett by a busy cleric or one with hearing problems. Otherwise my forebears are being totally unhelpful in presenting themselves to me.   Thanks for reading, A happy Christmas & New year season to all.   Wendy. 15695 ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
