    1. [SFHG] A Minister Sequestered TO vs Sequestered (Away) From?
    2. Donna Casey via
    3. I understand what is meant when a minister was "sequestered from" a particular parish/church through the Committee for Plundered Ministers (1643)....those ministers were usually sympathetic to Royalist "views" and thus removed from their parish by the heavily Puritan and/or Presbyterian Parliament at that time. However, I see where a well documented Puritan/N.C./Separatist minister (John Manning) was "sequestered TO" Arlington, (East) Sussex in 1643. Can anyone tell me if there is any specific meaning to the word "TO" in this instance....or was he simply sent TO St. Pancras in Arlington, East Sussex, to replace the minister that has been "sequestered FROM" Arlington by the committee?
