    3. Hello Christine and "Listers", I'm having a problem trying to send this message... maybe it's Microsoft Outlook on my computer which doesn't put in the SFHG address for a reply when I click on reply to all, so I'm doing it manually... In answer to your query, I did at first think of "alias" (aka)... as though Cowley was also known as Davy, Darby... I've seen that sort of thing before... However, on second thoughts, I'd say that Ab = from or of... Darley?? In my atlas of Britain both Darley and Eckington (Derbys) are on the same page, distant from about 18 miles as the crow flies... As for "Sardus"... no idea, although probably an erroneous transcription, especially as it was 17th century script - sometimes confusion of "S" with "H" or "F" and "r" with "c"... I'm afraid it looks as though you'd need to look at the original register. Maybe there's a look up service for that part of the country which surely also has a Family History group... Sorry not to be able to come up with anything else... 3. Hello Donna, Just too late ... Below is what Family Search published on their blog a few weeks ago... “Online requests for photo duplication services of microfilm and books are no longer available. They were discontinued as of December 5th, 2014. As of that date, existing orders will be completed, but new orders will no longer be accepted. Because so many microfilm and books are continually being digitized and added to FamilySearch and more links are being made available to partner sites that already have this information digitized, the need for photo duplication has significantly decreased. FamilySearch will continue to digitize as many resources as possible and make them available online. If the film or book has been digitized, you can print your own copies directly from the web site, if printing of the film or book is not restricted by the copyright holder. To see what has already been digitized, please visit the Family Search catalogue. If the film or book you are seeking is not yet been digitized, but is available on microfiche or microfilm, you can usually order it. It will be sent to a local family history center near you where you can view it....” Mary --- L'absence de virus dans ce courrier électronique a été vérifiée par le logiciel antivirus Avast. http://www.avast.com
