I am posting this again as it seems to have been lost.. I am trying to find Liddy b 1781 and Hetty b 1785 Of Ifield Sussex! These names are in the register for their birth/bap, but I cannot find any further information about them. Rex

Rex, my guess is that Liddy might appear as Elizabeth or Betty in later life, and Hetty as Easter or Hester or Henrietta or . . . And they could have died in infancy or childhood. Have you checked local burial registers? As a Stamp Tax of 3 pence had to be paid on all church CMB from Oct 1883 for about a decade, they may have been "privately" buried, so no parish record exists. Or the family could have moved to a different parish . . . Ian C.
