re my previous input. I did write to the Hastings Fishermen's Museum asking if they would be kind enough to send me a copy photo of one I saw there. This has now arrived in a very strong envelope, with 2 prints on the same subject, and I am most grateful. There is no charge for this service, but a donation to the Museum will be welcome, and I will send them £5. I did write previously, that any SFHG member researching relatives in the Hastings area, who are listed on Census Returns as 'fisherman' could write to this Museum, as there are many large photographs on the walls, giving the names of the crews, very clearly written. Or visit the Museum. The address is Peter A.Broughton, Hastings Fisherman's Museum, Rock-a-Nore Road, Hastings East Sussex TN34 3DW. Diane 10813
Don't forget to check the SFHG Local History Database (see the SFHG Website) from time to time. Index of places or index of occupations gives you the name of a society, then you can check for the details in the list of societies. You need the Members Only username and password. If you know of any local history or occupational society not on the list, why not notify Sheila Maynard localhistory, then the usual sfhg.co.uk.
