Hello Everyone Thanks to all who tried to help with my query re Stephen Lingham. I realize he may have already been on his way here.Many ships passengers were listed as steerage class & were not named.He may even have been out on a fishing boat at the time of the census. I have'nt found his brothers James Bridger, George & William Edward ( known as Edward ) on the 1861 census , although George's wife Catherine was living in Worthing with their two sons at the time. Maybe George was also here by then , he & his wife are both buried in the Creswick ( Vic. Aust.) cemetary. Regards to all Joy Morrish No 4970 Aust.
