Alas, Joan, it never occurred to me that it would be difficult to locate the technique on the internet, so I did not take a photo. The antique fair does not produce catalogues and I just thought 'I must have a go at that'! I will, however, google Suffolk Puffs as I would be interested in trying the technique. Thank you for your help. Hi Like Joan, I also know this technique as Suffolk Puff patchwork. I have done some, and it is pretty easy as needlework crafts go, although it does use a considerable amount of fabric. You should be able to get a book describing it in more detail at any public library - look in the craft section. If indeed it does have any Sussex pedigree, I would very interested to know about it, but have never heard this suggested before. Was the antique fair just getting confused between Sussex and Suffolk, do you think?
