It is Minden Cottage in Fletching about 5 miles from Ardingly. I hope to research my gt grandfather's family whilst there. He was Frank Stevenson and lived in the cottage next door and his son Jesse Stevenson (my grandfather) was born there in 1882. I am particularly interested that you are going to Ardingly. My mother (Margery Helen Chipps) was born there in 1905 in a cottage opposite the church. Her father, George William Chipps, was the chauffeur at the nearby Big House, Jordans. My mother told me how all the upper class people worshipped at St Peter's whereas ordinary people like themselves went to the chapel. I hope you have an enjoyable time in Ardingly.
