I recently requested a copy of a will & probate for my grandfather, I was billed £5.00, but I was a little disappointed with the information I received back. All I received was one A4 sheet containing the barest of details just summarising that his estate did not exceed £40, 000 gross or £10,000 net and that the named representative was his wife. Is this usual to get such scant information or should I contact the HMCS again and make clear that I also would like a copy of the will, detailing family members and what they were entitled to? I was under the impression that the £5 fee copies of both probate and will. Steve McGrath 12554
