Hi Stevens researchers I have a Mary Stvens b March 1764 Ticehurst/Etchingham, Sussex.. Parents were Richard Stevens & Mary. She married Robert Rummery at Etchingham on 5th Sept 1785. The first child (my line) was b in Etchingham then the family moved to Warehorne in Kent. Does anyone have Stevens ancestors connected this far back? (or Rummey?) Any thoughts why the family might have moved from Etchingham to tiny village on the edge of Romney Marsh?
