By chance I was contacted from the USA as a result of my posting on Ancestry by gedcom from my 'Legacy' FHprogramme. The result is that I have been bombarded with the most useful background research of my maternal Gmother's family NOAKES and its connection to the GURR family in Lamberhurst (Sussex/Kent). I am now seeking members of the GURR family descended from Annie Elizabeth Noakes, born 1859, who married William Gurr (a widower) and butcher in Lamberhurst IN 1884. ANNIE E was sister of Kate, (sometime Catherine) Noakes born 1862, my Gmother and husband of John Lucas born 1860 and sometime coachman to Lord St Oswald of Nostell Priory.
