    1. [SFHG] WSRO Special Event 03 June 2008
    2. Marion Woolgar
    3. WSRO will be holding another special family history event on Tuesday 03 June 2008 from 7pm to 9pm. This time, the session will focus on how to research military and probate records. The Record Office receives over 12,000 enquiries a year about service in the First World War alone and army records are one of the most frequently consulted categories for genealogy. Wills and probate inventories can provide fascinating detail on the lives of our ancestors and can take their story back through the centuries. In addition, the evening will include a special presentation by a member of the Record Office conservation staff on how to look after family records - documents and photographs - to better ensure their preservation for future generations. Tickets cost £5 and must be booked in advance as numbers are limited. Phone 01243 753602 or E-mail: records.office@westsussex.gov.uk . Best wishes Marion Woolgar Bognor Regis, West Sussex
