    3. Although I can't help with Diana's query, I am interested to read that quarry records were checked. I have lots of ancestors (from Staffordshire) that were involved in the quarry industry over the last 200 years but I have never known that there were any records that would be of interest to family history researchers. Can Diane or anyone else enlighten me as to what quarry records are available. This doesnt relate to a Sussex person, but someone may be able to help. For several years my son has been searching records trying to find out what happened to his 3xGt.Grandfather Edward Bulley. 1871 Census he was alive and living with his wife Ruth. 1881 Census Ruth was living alone. 1891 Census Ruth was living alone. 1898 Ruth remarried stating that she was a widow. (Certificate obtained.) Overseas Death Registers checked - no trace. Army Registers checked - no trace. Some Emigrant ships records checked - no trace. Quarry Records checked - no trace. Local Records checked (Taunton area where they lived) - no trace. 15 Death Certificates obtained for Edward Bulley, but in every case the wife had a different Christian name so it was not him. My son would be grateful for any suggestions as to where else he can search.
