I was at TNA yesterday, looking for particular Stevens working for the London Brighton & South Coast Railway. I didn't find anything on mine in the time available, but here is what I found on other Stevens for anyone interested. E Stephens dob 29/10/1859 labourer at Brighton in July 1919. Alfred J Stevens dob 10/3/1902 Fitter's apprentice at Eastbourne in April 1919. A Stevens dob 2/12/1897 Fitter's apprentice at EAstboune in April 1920. In RAIL 414/625 Geo E Stevens dob 22/11/1898 Greaser at Brighton in November 1915. C Stevens pension number 12219 Carriagemaker at Lancing in August 1916. A Stevens dob 10/4/1904 Coachmaker's apprentice at Lancing in August 1919. Thanks Phil for once again thinking of the Stevens researchers. I have checked your list but didn't find a connection. Our Stevens line goes back to John Stevens (born 1796/97 in Waldron) and married to Sarah Reed (born 1795/96 Heathfield). I have not been able to get further back so happy to hear from anyone who may be able to help.
