After several years of coexistence, AVG's new Version 8 is objecting to the SMI CD. I don't know what the resolution will be but for the time being have been organising a bypass. I've added a note to the website at http://www.sfhg.org.uk/smi/smiqueries.html and some files to enable the 2005 copyright SFHGCD002 to be used. About 6MB. I have asked for a replacement SussMarr.exe file for the 2004 SFHGCD001 and when received will post here and add it to the website. Alan P.S. I managed to follow my instructions successfully. Hello Alan, The problem also exists with AVG 7.5. Does your "fix" cover that version as well, although I believe it is being withdrawn shortly.
