Hello Listers I have had an email from a stranger saying that he (or they) had bought a domain name as it had expired. The domain name - BallFamilyRecords - belongs (or belonged) to a distant cousin of mine who lives near Norwich, a man very dedicated to family history, and a most meticulous researcher. I haven't had a reply to my latest email to him, which was a couple of months ago now, and this info about the domain name expiring causes me some concern. Is anyone able to check, please? Hi again Pam I tried ballfamilyrecords.co.uk and found it registered to a Richard Ball at the address you specified. Take a look at http://www.who.is/whois-uk/ip-address/ballfamilyrecords.co.uk/ The renewal date is shown as 12 Apr 2010, so it doesn't appear to have expired. If you go to http://www.ballfamilyrecords.co.uk/ it looks like what I imagine it's supposed to ("The Ball family of Hastings"). Hope this helps!
