    3. Wow.  What a fantastic new resource for us all. Everyone should have a look.  One small correction however there is no www.  The full link is:  http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=0  Enjoy Roger Rushton 9885 I am sorry to contradict you, but the British Isles Vital Records Index is now available online for baptisms and marriages up to 1906.  It is available on the new-ish LDS trial web site at www.pilot.familysearch.org .  The site can be a little slow to load at times, so you do need to be patient and the site only shows 10 records per page, compared to 200 records on the main site.  However, in addition to the BVRI, there are lots of new records available for searching; and if you only want to investigate a particular database, you have that option by scrolling down the initial page and then clicking on the database of your choice. If this is the "face of things to come" from the LDS, then it will be a most welcome addition to the array of indexes now available online. I haven't yet found a way to download the information, but I expect that will come in time.  However, it is possible to copy individual events to your clipboard and keep a record of them in MS Word etc. Best wishes Marion Woolgar Bognor Regis, West Sussex SFHG NO: 3323 ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SFHG-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message __________________________________________________________ Not happy with your email address?. 3. Thanks Roger and Marion I tried revisiting some of the Sussex baptisms for those I'd already extracted from the BVRI CDs. Found a little problem with those for Northchapel. It supposedly offers you a choice of two parishes but make sure you only select the Sussex option. The "West Sussex" default option only brings up some speculation that must have been entered by a patron, a "researcher" who didn't do any research with Sussex records. One of the other searches offered is for some of the Ellis Island arrivals. I hadn't ever tried looking for any of the potential emigrants in my tree but have now found a few.
