    1. [SFHG] Mary MARTIN b 1786 Herstmonceux
    2. Hello Listers! After a long absence, I am back at the family history puzzle again. I have been contacted by a SFHG member who does not have access to email and am hoping to link his FRIEND and MARTIN families to mine, or at least offer him some progress. His ancestress Mary nee MARTIN FRIEND (circa 1790 Herstmonceux- 1863 Herstmonceux, aged 72) was probably the daughter (chr 1786) of Thomas and Ann MARTIN who baptised 5 other children (all at Hmcx): Fanny (1777), William (1778), Elizabeth (1780), Thomas (1784-?DecQ 1852), and Amy (1789). Assuming Thomas and Ann married in 1777 or earlier, would SKS with access to the SFHG Marriage Index be able to tell me Ann's maiden name and where and when they married, or any other details? Is anyone else researching this family? Thanks very much! Cheers, Joanne Joanne Mays Becker Sleepy Hollow, New York **************Get fantasy football with free live scoring. 3. Extract from the Sussex Marriage Index: Place: Herstmonceux, East Sussex, Date: 24 Jul 1776: Subject: Thomas MARTIN Spouse: Ann REED This appears the most likely in my humble opinion.
