I think this may well relate to my great uncle (WH Challen)'s mammoth transcriptions - in this case BT would be, I think, Bishops Transcripts. He did huge amounts of research back in the early to mid 20th Century - and I have a copy of his book which contains transcripts of the Cocking Parish Registers.
