Aldrington Cemetery is in Hove and used to be in the care of Hove Borough Council, so I assume that it was transferred to Brighton & Hove City Council when they merged. The cemetery opened in 1882 and the Burial registers up to 1926 were deposited at ESRO when I last used them back in 1999. It appears to have been the chosen burial ground for people from the Steyning Union Workhouse. Best wishes Marion Woolgar Bognor Regis, West Sussex
Yes, Aldrington Cemetry must now be Hove Cemetry. I remember it as a walk for my Mother - she said it was quiet and peaceful. We were several of a family so I could well understand as I got older!
