I have posted this information as my member interests on the SFHG website, but this email is in case it is spotted more readily by any members who do not necessarily check the members' interests regularly. My interest is John BLAKE (my great great grand father) and his descendants who spread out from Worthing from about 1900 on (other surnames may include MARSHALL, JAGO, CLARKE, STRINGER) John Blake (b.1860, d.1932) married Emily Payne (b.1865, d.1958) lived in Worthing from c. 1900. They had 6 or 7 children: Thomas Samuel Blake (b.1889) - had 5 children and numerous grandchildren and more (details available as these are my direct relations). Frederick Robert Blake (b.1892) - Did he marry Daisy E. Marshall and if so did they have children? Edward Allen Johnnie Blake (b.1895) - died when HMS Hampshire sank during WWI on 5th June 1916 (Lord Kitchener also on board). Margery May Blake (b.1896) - no trace. Can anyone help? Winifred Annie Blake (b.1899) - married Cecil F. Jago and had 3 children and various grandchildren (details available with many thanks to Kay from New Zealand). [Nellie Ada Maud Blake (b.1901) - as yet unconfirmed that she is their child. Did she marry Charles E. Clarke and if so did they have any children?] Gladys Maud Blake (b.1903) - Did she marry George W. Stringer in Thakeham in 1931 and / or did she die as Gladys Blake in 1990 in Hastings and Rother (Bexhill?)? Any help or advice very gratefully received. Many thanks Michael Blake _________________________________________________________________ Be a superhero and win! Play the Iron Man Mashup Game http://www.ironmanmashup.co.uk
