I can't find a baptism for Jane. What are the details and dates on the marriage certificate? There is a baptism on the IGI (extracted entry) for a Mary Prowdly, at Cowden on 4th September 1814. Parents are James Prowdly and Susan. Also for a Sarah Proudly, at Cowden on 30th June 1816. Parents are James Proudly and Susannah. Both are in Batch No.C130993. The Miles family were extensive in the area. There was an article in the December 2004 issue of the Family Historian about one branch of them. The author, Elizabeth Gardiner, has deposited a family tree of the Hartfield Miles families in the SFHG library.
