I think I've been under a misapprehension all these years. My grandmother's sister's daughter and I have always thought of each other as second cousins. So in Joe's case, I would have said they were 2nd cousins 6 times (or 5?) removed. As Fagin said: "I'd better go and think it out again!" Or Les Dawson: "There must be more to life than this."
