    2. Blaker Research
    3. A small group of SFHG members are involved in a one name study for the name BLAKER, concentrating at present on occurrences in Sussex, where the name is particularly common. Our present focus, within this, is on any BLAKER alive before 1625. Now, we have been busy garnering references to the BLAKER name online and off. This is fine where BLAKER is the most significant name and has therefore been indexed. What we need now are other references. So, please, if you have any BLAKER mentioned as a witness, legatee etc in a will or a marriage etc, or in any other sense, for example Manor Rolls, lawsuit etc, before 1625 in Sussex (although others are of interest), please can you forward them to one of the following: Rod Blaker rod.blaker@gmail.com Joseanne Campbell josiecamp1@yahoo.co.uk or Chris Rodgers blaker_gen@yahoo.co.uk Chris #12513 The name can also be found as BLAYKER, BLAKKER, BLACOR, BLAKYERE, BLACKER, BLACKERE, BLECHERE, BLEECHERE etc in documents of these earlier times.
