Hi Alan, One way is to look for the family in the 1871 census. I found a likely family: RG 10, Piece 498, Folio 29b, Page 10. Bethnal Green, Middlesex. Address 7 Arundel Street. James TAYLOR, Head, Mar, 24, Carman, St Pancras, Middlesex. Martha A, Wife, Mar, 24, St Pancras, Middlesex. Eliza A, Daur, 2, Hoxton, Middlesex. Amelia, Daur, 1, Hoxton, Middlesex. Caroline SPARROW, Niece, 9, St Pancras, Middlesex. James SPARROW, Nephew, Unm, 19, St Pancras, Middlesex. They are also sharing the house with the Rogers & Mahoney families. In 1881 this family appear to be in Brighton on RG 11, Piece 1091, Folio 20, Page 35. On this Eliza is 14 and Amelia 6, but censuses are notorious for errors on ages. Hi Alan Hoxton is in the registration district of Shoreditch. So hopefully the birth index entry given by Bridget Meads for Dec 1866 Shoreditch 1c127 will be the correct one.
