Does anyone have access to the PR's for Cuckfield that could do a look up for me please? I am looking for ALICE POTTER born about 1858/9. She appears on the 1861, 71 and 81 census living with her grandparents William and Mary Hall. Her place of birth in 61 & 81 is Horley, Surrey and on 71 is Brighton. I am thinking that her mother might have died in childbirth or very soon after and her father was unable to look after the baby so she might have been baptised in Cuckfield. I have applied for a couple of birth certificates but they were not right either I have no idea who her parents were and there is no Hall/Potter marriage on freebmd that seems right.
