    3. Please can anyone suggest where I search for the death of a British national in Africa? She died in 1878 either at Angash in Sudan or Wadi Haifa in Nubia (sources differ on the place). Her death is recorded on the family headstone, in The Pall Mall Gazette and in her will, but I would like to find out the circumstances. Diana Burns

    3. You will need to check the GRO registers of Overseas Deaths. You can do this on TheGenealogist and Findmypast subscription sites, but I haven't been able to find the equivalent data on Ancestry. In addition, some record offices & libraries might have this data on CD's published by S&N. Once you have the necessary references, you can order a copy of the death certificate online from https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/ .
