I have recently obtained a copy of a Birth Certificate from the General Register Office for Herbert Sargent, b 3rd May 1845 in Northiam, son of George and Caroline (nee Baker) Sargent. If this is of any use to anybody, send your address, and I will post it on, or I can scan and email. Alternatively, is there a repository within SFHG for such certificates? I was hoping this would be for my gt gt gt grandfather Herbert Sargent who was, according to the census returns, born between 1843 - 1845 in Beckley, as this is the only likely birth registered around that time according to BMD.
