Hi All I would like to take this opportunity to publically say a huge thank you to Marion Woolgar and Jackie Rowntree for all the info they supplied! You have both given me so much help and info and of course new avenues to explore! So thank you both very much it is really appreciated. Can I just say to anyone out there struggling with a brick wall - don't be like me! For years I hunted for my elusive family and didn't have the courage to ask my questions! I thought everyone would be too experienced and busy to respond to my novice queries - how wrong I was! I have been overwhelmed by the responses, knowledge, help and advice I have received over the years from all the great members we have here in SHFG. So don't be concerned about asking 'basic' questions! - I must have asked so many that must have made people smile over the years but all were answered! I must admit that I have found out why the GRO couldn't find any trace of Ruth Barnett from the info I supplied - yes you have guessed it! I forgot one of the golden rules of genealogy... names are often spelt differently or transcribed wrongly ete etc! I will now attempt to obtain the cert for Ruth Burnett so fingers crossed!
