>Also living nearby were George Severs 110001 10001 > James Severs 0001 1001 this would make >James 20 or under with one child (female) and also 20 or under (maybe l5). >George would be 30-40 with wife 20-30 and 3 smaller children. James and >George are suspect children but unproven totally. There was a George Severs on Sullivan Co, TN tax lists in 1796, 1797 and 1809. Since Sullivan Co. is adjacent to the areas where Jacob Seaver (the one who moved from Washington/Scott VA to Switzerland, IN) bought and sold land in the early 1800s, I have speculated that the Sullivan Co. George could have been another brother of Jacob. I have also speculated that William Severs 1752-1852 of VA, Anderson/Knox TN and Nodaway, MO might be related in some way to Jacob-- perhaps an uncle. I base that speculation on the Lamar connection and on the geographical proximity. The age of the George you found in the 1830 Anderson census indicates a DoB between 1790 and 1800. There's no way to know the age of the George who appeared in Sullivan Co. records between 1796 and 1809, but surely he had to have been born by 1775 to be on tax lists in 1796. Therefore, the George of Sullivan Co. and the George of Anderson Co. had to be two different men, but perhaps they were related.
