RootsWeb.com Mailing Lists

    1. Change in list setup.
    2. We only have 22 -L subscribers and 7 -D subscribers so the list is not very active. I would hope anyone with Severs info would post it and anyone with querry would get response from anyone capable of helping them. THere are wonderful querry boards and search features at several places, possibly someone would like to post the addresses. WWW.Familytreemaker.com www.ancestry.com are primary. I would recommend a careful review of them for any beginner and remember, when posting, to change the subject line so that it lists the point of your message and will search well for future use and NOT just use the original tag line. I have changed the list setup such that querries responses all go to the list by default (Click on reply) so that we can all get the info. It is easy to delete it if it does not apply. I would suggest about every 90 days that we go through a "roll call" and publish something outlining the family line of your main interest and your major question. Debbie Leftwhich is no longer at her @Home network and her messages are bouncing. Anyone with her adress please ask her to resubscribe under her new address . Someone on the list asked about Gabriel Severs of IN and unrelated to the Muhlenberg Co Gabriel. There is a posting by a living Gabriel Severs GabrielSVRS@aol.com that, I believe suggested a relationship to the Muhlenberg Co group of Severs but not to their Gabriel directly. This was a reply to a message board. Best from the List administrator Charles Severs I am always glad to do a computer search for anything related to SVRS and be helpful time permitting. I have a new l850 and l880 complete Census which is searchable. Dont forget that Severs is the most commonly misspelled name this side of Poland and that noone could spell before about l860
