I note the conversions about Posey Co IL. I get a litle confusion as there is a Posey Township in IN where Jacob Seaver from Virginia moved to in l8l8. The Posey Co IL group did come from TN and does not seem to be related to my group of Severs starting with William Severs/Seaver born l752. Three of us have started a DNA group with _www.familytreedna.com_ (http://www.familytreedna.com) (l0% discount if you join the group--and I would encourage only ONE dna test of a male from any known group of Severs as testing more than one would tell NOTHING but an occasional illigitimacy (Like the case of William Porter Severs born about l8l8). Glad to share anything. Charles Severs Louisville, Ky. Note: of the three tests of Severs: all three tests have matched. One was my own test, another was a desc of William Severs l797 and son of William l752 and the other was a group in Southern MO who has not traced their lineage back far enough but, obviously connect to the same group. William started 1752 in Montgomery Co VA with his marriage to Catherine Peck. Moved to Knox Co TN afterward and by l802 was in Anderson Co TN (formed from Knox Co in that area so it was not a move, but a county boundary change). His sons are proven to move to KY, MO (2 places)) and a daughter remained in Anderson Co, TN. Two other sons are speculated and involve AR AL and OK. I have traced one of those sons to a living male John Colt Severs in California but have been unable to get him to do a dna test for some reason.
