Today I checked the A.I.S. at our local Family History Center for Jacob Seaver(s) under the following spelling variations: Seav- Seev- Seiv- Siev- Sev- Siv- (all with and without final -s). I found in 1820: Seavers, Jacob Washington Co, OH 223 Newport Twp Seaver, Jacob Scott, VA 199 Seaver, Jacob Adams, PA 059 Berwick Twp Sievert, Jacob Lebanon, PA 145 Jackson Twp Siver, Jacob Herkimer, NY 051 Danube Siver, Jacob Rockingham, VA 163 I believe that the Jacob Seaver of Scott, VA is the one who moved to Switzerland Co, IN. The 1818 date comes from the Jesse Seaver history, and perhaps Jacob went there first to purchase land, but didn't move the family until later. As I recall, the daughter Esther Susannah was born in June of 1820, so perhaps they waited until after she was born before making a trip that had to be difficult. Pat -- Patricia M.
