I have no proof that Jacob and George are brothers or even related. I have them both in the same county at the same time and in the 1820 census they are checked as being over 45. But I did find Jacob buying his land in Posey Co., IN 1823 through the BLM-GLO. I can't say for sure that this Jacob buying land in Posey Co., IN 1823 and selling it in 1826 is the same person selling land in 1807 in Sullivan Co., TN. I am speculating that they may be related because there was a George and a Jacob in Sullivan Co., TN and Posey Co., IN at the same time. The only reason I looked in Sullivan Co., TN is because when I started Genealogy, I was told by relatives that my James M. Severs was the grandson of General John Sevier, war hero/ first Gov. of TN etc. But I have evidence that points me to George Severs. As for Abraham Severs, I only mentioned him because he was mentioned in a Washington Co., IL historical book as being there at 1821. My James was there also from before 1824-1855. I don't if it was a coincidence or if they are related. James M. Severs is presumed to have a son Abram. Kathy Pugh
