I would suspect that Posey Co IN is closer to Breckinridge Co KY than to Switzerland Co IN and that would increase the possibility that the Jacob might be Jacob Peck Severs (my ancestor) than to Jacob Seaver of Scott and Botetout Co VA Charles Severs

Breckinridge, KY is somewhat closer to Posey Co than to Switzerland. So...perhaps the Jacob Severs that Kathy found in Posey in 1820 is Jacob Peck Severs (s/o William 1752-1852 & Catherine Peck Severs), while the Jacob of Scott, VA went to Switzerland Co, IN. Jacob of Scott, VA's widow, Hetty (Esther) is found in the 1830 Switzerland Co, IN. Charles, do you have any information about where Catherine Peck Severs died and when? I had an old note in my files that she died in KY, but I can't confirm that. If she did die in KY, where was William at that time? From the 1850 Nodaway, MO census, it appears that William moved there in the late 1840s with his son John and John's family.
