My mother is Edna SIBERT Ferguson, born Feb 3, 1921, Washington, PA. Her line starts in the USA with Johan Bernhard Seibert who migrated from Saarland (Germany) 1738 to the Lancaster PA area, then on to Strasburg, Virginia area in the Shenandoah valley about 1752 where he died in 1801. Two of his sons Adam and Isaac ended up in Greene County PA about 1805-1806. Isaac's son Isaac2 remained in Greene County. His son Isaac3 also lived in Greene County. His son James SIBERT moved to the County just to the north, Washington Co., PA. James was my mothers great grandfather. The spellings of Sibert from Saarland to Washington Co, PA Have ranged from Seubert - Seuberth - Seybert - Siver - Sivert - Severs - Seibert, etc. Johan Bernhard Seibert's line has been traced back to Klaus Seibert/Sayfried born 1530 in Saarland. (various spellings from various sources) It is possible that Isaac Seibert, son of Johan Bernard Seibert may have fought in the Revolutionary War as Isaac Severs or Sivers of Virginia. I am searching for evidence of this. Thus my interest in Severs. Thank you, Wayne Ferguson
