When you open a new blank document it should now be blank :-)" But it ain't !!! it still shows the old document. yes if I go to "New" and click on "Blank Doc" I get a blank page which is OK but I would like to see a blank page when I first open "Word "

    3. Search for and delete the file NORMAL.DOT. That is the file that Word should open when you open it. Somehow, your document that opens was renamed to normal.dot. Then, open Word. The normal.dot will be rebuilt as a blank page, and everything should be OK.
