Assuming you are using Windows XP. To make a new folder is easy. Right click anywhere on your opening desktop screen. Left click on new, then on folder. Type a name for it while it is highlighted, then click enter. DONE! The new folder will be housed on your desktop. Now, to save things to it, like pictures, open the picture you want to put into your folder, right click on the photo and select "save as". Beside the "look in" line, you will see a down arrow. Click it and find desktop, then your new folder. Click on the name of your folder. Be sure the name of your file is one that will let you know what the picture is (you will likely need to change it). Then click save. Now, when you want to save your folder to a CD, just open the folder, Click edit, then select all. If you are using XP, there will be a choice on the left to send the files to a CD. If you don't have XP, it's a bit different process, but creating a folder is the same and "save as" is the same. Good luck. Mary -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Mary.. Thanks a bunch! One question......once I get these "storybook" photos in their folder... should I leave them in the My Documents list? Or should I delete them? (If so, how do I do that...) I am gonna try your directions tomorrow, as it's getting a bit late, and I'm tired... But... I sure do thank you! Nancy, I'm not entirely clear on what you are asking. If you are asking what to do with the old pictures once you have saved them to a new folder, then I would say ,yes, delete the old ones. Pictures are generally large files, and there would be no need to have duplicates. To delete most anything, right click it and choose delete. You can also highlight a file, choose Edit from the top menu and then choose delete. One of the things that helped me most was to realize there is almost always more than one way to do anything on a computer. Hope this s helps. Mary -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
