Elaine, Your attitude and the attitude of others like you, is the reason I left this list the last time. I don't think you or anyone else has the right to demand that I do things to suit them. My personal email account is for family and friends, not pornography, spam and people I don't know. Furthermore, If you can be so divisive and help one person but not another, you have the problem, not I. I don't think discrimination is ever acceptable behavior. Joan, As the administrator you know that Rootsweb mail is ALWAYS virus free. That is why we should always reply on list. The list is for sharing data and others to learn from the questions and the answers. However, anyone who would like to be on my list only need say so in an email to this list. Many people will tell you when I have found they attempted to email and it bounced, I added them and advised them of same. Like anything else, there are problems we have no control over. Remember all the weeks we had no email and sometimes we get 3 copies of one, I don't think we have fits about those things, nothing and NO ONE is perfect. I generally trust people, but, my activity in genealogy has my email address spread all over the internet. I am getting pornography that has subject lines, that spammers and porn operators have taken from genealogy mail. So, unless you are walking in my shoes, you haven't a clue. I do know genuine kindness and being considerate works well on list. I had adaware and that started my problems last year. Lance or another male, advised that we get it. Then when I had problems and asked for help on list, no one advised me what to do and I had to remove the program. I am truly sorry I came back on list and will leave again. Nothing in life is worth having to beg for and then be offended over. Winnette -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. 3. I am sorry and apologize to the other subscribers here. Had I been able to directly reach Winn, this would not have been publicly shared. I personally think people who so fear the internet and who still are not setting up proper protection should not be on the internet or using email. Bouncing programs are an abomination.
