    3. Thanks for that Carolyn. it is not the mail I'm worried about as I use MailWasher, it is the downloads coming in without my permission. I had a fit when I saw 3.5 megs coming in. However I THINK I may have solved it as when checking my AV update I see a very big update. Wow this had me worried for a while. I will have to learn not to panic. & think things through. before pushing the panic button, but that is easier to say then do in my case. 3. Hi Arthur, I managed not to do a typo on your name this time :) !! I'm glad you've found where your download was, & I'd say you've solved the problem yourself. In context you have used the term "download" .... rather than the way I was thinking of it .... i.e. downloading "software" vs. "email", ..... then I wonder as well IF there's a way to see downloads in the way that you mean ... i.e. "software". I've had software type stuff try to download to my p.c. & have hit the cancel button, unless I knew exactly what it was. But like you, I have wondered if people can "sneak past" the defences. Maybe the "find files & folders" Win 95 & 98 or "search" on XP has the answer ?? I don't know .... but I would like to know. Cheers Carolyn in chilly North Queensland, hoping for no typos <G> > Thanks for that Carolyn. it is not the mail I'm > worried about as I use MailWasher, it is the > downloads coming in without my permission. > I had a fit when I saw 3.5 megs coming in. > However I THINK I may have solved it as > when checking my AV update I see a very big > update. > > Wow this had me worried for a while.
