For starters, make damned sure all of your speaker wires are properly hooked up and you haven't hit the MUTE button. IOW, double-check to make sure the sound is working by listening to something you know is working. I know this is obvious, but I hit the panic button one time only to discover that one of the wires that plugged into the ack of a speaker had been knocked loose.
