    3. Hello Marie If you want to remove all unwanted addresses then Tools, Internet Options, History then Clear History. Unfortunately this will also clear all addresses and not just the ones you want to remove. 3. Marie, to edit or delete entries in your FAVORITES folder, just open Internet Explorer, then click FAVORITES|ORGANIZE FAVORITES. On this window you can edit; delete; or create new folders for your Favorites. Another approach is to locate your FAVORITES folder which in XP should be in your: C:\Documents and Settings\<your name>\Favorites. Here you can see all the entries - either URL's or folders. Just delete the ones here that are no longer needed. Or you can alternatively create folders to organize your Favorites. A far better approach though would be to use Firefox as your browser. Firefox has a far superior Bookmarks Manager - very similar to the familiar Windows Explorer screen: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ Firefox can import all of your current IE Favorites. The ultimate system though is to use Powermarks. This program makes managing Favorites/Bookmarks a breeze. No more worrying about where you saved a favorite or creating folders. Power marks lets you find things in an instant: http://www.kaylon.com/power.html Lance P. S. Check out Legacy Family Tree today! 3. Marie, my apologies to you and Charles for misreading your posting. Here is how you edit the URL's stored in "History" without deleting the ones you wish to keep. It involves editing your Registry, so do back that up before you attempt this. To backup the Registry, just clisk START|RUN and type regedit in the RUN box. Then click FILE|EXPORT and note where you save the export. Just name it "2005-05-09 RegBackup" for convenience. Now, with Registry Editor still open follow these steps: Click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER Then click the Software tab Click the Microsoft tab Click the Internet Explorer Click the Typed URLs tab Now on the right hand side of this screen(TYPED URLs) you will see little icons with "ab" on them, with "url1"; "url2"; etc. after them. The number will depend on how many typed URL's you have used in your searches and have been recorded here. You can see the description of each (which site you visited) a little way over to the right on that screen (use the slide bar at the bottom if necessary) For the ones you DON'T NEED, just right-click each of the little "ab" icons in turn and select DELETE from the context menu. Do this until all the ones you don't want are deleted. Then close the Registry Editor. You should now find that only the URL's you want are in the drop down list as you type in the address bar.
