It would probably pay you to switch programs, Fern, as it does seem odd that it burns in a proprietary format (ATO). There are many available but few freeware. One I have found and used successfully is DeepBurner: http://tinyurl.com/5fhx6 It should fill your needs. The shareware ones most popular are Roxio: http://tinyurl.com/cz6np And Nero: http://www.nero.com/eng/index.html I have versions of both of those and they are excellent programs. Lance P. S. The CD burner, "Just Burn" was the program that come with the computer. It gives me a burned CD file with extension of ATO that I am unable to open. Research tells me that this file is associated with the Just Burn application. Is there a way to open these files.? It is pictures that I had hoped to have long time access to by making a CD. So far no luck. Thanks for any help at all. - Grandma Fern
