Hi Is there a wayy of permanently disabling Windows Messenger? I did have it disabled (somehow) but after a glitch with a virus / trojan it seems to want to start up each time I log onto the internet. Anyy ideas welcome Paul
Paul, you need to download and run Steve Gibson's "Shoot the Messenger": http://www.grc.com/stm/ShootTheMessenger.htm Steve has some good advice and valuable information on that page about "Messenger" and why it should be "shot". Basically, it is a security risk. Lance P. S. Check out Legacy Family Tree today!
