If using Windows XP, would downloading Irfanview be duplicating any icture program I may have? New to XP and still haven't figured everything out. Ruth in NJ

If you have any image editing programs already, yes, it would be a duplicate. However, Irfanview is a small program and opens images very quickly. So it is much faster than using some of the other resource hogs, such as Photoshop, Paintshop, etc. If you set your file associations for image files to open in Irfanview, you will find they open almost instantly.
