    3. Thanks David, I had to try and then just retyped all the text. Then I found what I lost, another Senior power failure. and I got the colors fixed by restoring to a couple of days back.I don't know what I did to the colors, but they looked like negatives. then I hit a key on this micro Keyboard that turned my text 45 degrees to the left. Any way I have it all back in place now and can get on with what I was doing. Thank for taking the time to answer me, Peggy in Texas ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Creelman" <davidcr@sympatico.ca> To: <SENIOR-NEWBIE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, April 26, 2005 9:54 AM Subject: Re: [SR-NEWBIE] changing text from Paint to Notepad > Hi Peggy > If you saved in Paint you no longer have text. 3. Hi Peggy It sounds like you are having a few too many adventures in computing! Tip: Make a copy of the file you want to work on and work with the copy. Then your original is fine if something goes wrong, or if you change your mind about your changes. If you are 100% sure you have saved what you want, you can discard the original. Often saving the original file(photo, received document) is a good idea anyway. In Photoshop(my favorite program), I can save photos as a copy from the save as dialogue, so I don't have to do that. Not all programs work this way, so making a copy in advance is a very good idea.
