Hi Ruth, I started recording genealogy on a Brother Word Processor. I don't believe you can buy ribbons for it any more. That is why I threw it out last year. It served its purpose, and I enjoyed using it; however, the computer is a step up and is more usable. Before computers became affordable, there were some free standing Word Processors. They had a little screen of about 4 lines just above the keyboard. In this, you could see what you had typed and make corrections just like on a computer. One I am thinking of was made by Brother. Then, I think, you could press Print and it would print out what you just typed. Does anyone remember these? Are they still around? I tried going to Google but am not sure they understood what I am looking for. Any other suggestion as to where I might look? Many thanks. Ruth in IN ______________________________
