That old, you're lucky it works at all - lol. Get an optical mouse, the kind without a ball. I promise you won't regret it. Make sure it has the same kind of plug as your does, some have both included, but I'm not sure all do. If you can find one cheap, go for a cordless optical. Best thing I ever did ! It's like going from a corded phone to a cordless one. Write me off list if you want to know which one I have.
